0 Lee Hyori in 2011 Spring Calvin Klein Jeans

Most of Korean women must be proud for her good shape body and legs. Korean Women has been transformed into a new chic style, sexy honey thighs, and long legs.

Lee Hyori is the sexy icon from Korea, and within the world's 100 sexiest women. Recently, Lee Hyori showed her sexy long legs and shaped body in an exclusive 2011 Spring Calvin Klein Jeans “Gradation Denim” fashion spread in “High Cut.”

Straying away from the overly sexy and styled concept, the photoshoot was carried out under Calvin Klein Jeans’s own unique modern concept, with an underlying sexy tone. The focus was not just set on the star’s sexiness, but on the distinctive washout style of “Gradation Denim,” in which the blue color slowly gradates downwards. In addition, minimalist styling and Lee Hyori’s natural modern sexiness worked well together to capture the main concept of the photoshoot.

Calvin Klein Jeans “Gradation Denim” is a special line of jeans that has a cool natural blue color that gradually fades. Its straight slim fit emphasizes the natural body line of the wearer, and the back pocket’s studded omega logo draws attention to the hip line.

Lee Hyori’s S-line is in fact magnified by this “Gradation Denim,” which is said to be the best out of any season’s denim.

Lee Hyori is one of so many Korean Women in Jeans advertising. Before was Song Hye Kyo and f(x).

Another question is What is High Cut ? High Cut is a Korean Magazine focus in Korean Celebrities fashion.

0 Pushing the Limits! Fantasy Hairstyling.

Fantasy hair is all about breaking the limits of traditional hairstyling. It can include the use of ornaments, clothing, and props to achieve the desired look, and it’s almost always pulled to the top of the head. Fantasy hair competition  pits contestants against each other to create a total look of hair, clothing and makeup, in a limited amount of time.

Hosted by actress Brooke Burns, this competition series pits ten of America’s best stylists against each other to see who can deliver the biggest and best in fantasy hair design.

Part sculpture and part pop art, each challenge requires contestants to create shocking coifs that resemble everything from multi-layer bridal cakes to toys with moveable pieces. The stylists then enter the ring to present their hair creations in a fully produced, dramatic and stylized performance. After each challenge, the judges critique the designers on creativity, execution and overall presentation.

In addition to blow-by-blow drama in the arena, there is also the day-to-day drama between the cohabitating stylists who fight each week to stay in the game and win the ultimate prize of $100,000.

“Hair Battle Spectacular” is produced by three Ball Productions with JD Roth, Todd Nelson, Adam Greener, and Mike Nichols serving as executive producers.

0 Why I've Started My Business

A few months ago I wrote a post(s) complaining about the lack of integrity in a lot of small businesses these days. You can read them here "How to find cheap haircare products" & "Small Business Rant". I strongly believe that getting great quality cosmetics should not cost a lot. Well, all I could do was rant about it and try to sway people to buy from better companies....or so I thought.

I was ranting to my husband about the whole base issue and customer service and he, probably tired of  my rants, asked why don't I sell the bases and products. Well, why not? Right? Well, there are of a lot of reasons why not!! Hell, I didn't want to deal with irate customers, shipping, packaging, and all the other things that come along with selling actual products. (I'm just keeping this thing 100% honest). Running a actual product based business is hard work.

So, I sat on the idea for a few weeks....

Well, I finally bit the bullet and decided to go ahead and at least look into selling products. Let me tell you, it is not easy to crunch numbers and keep a budget. Shipping is high, raw materials are even higher and quality is not something all wholesalers have on their mind.

But, I have honestly enjoyed the process. I have enjoyed finding quality ingredients, making my own products and designing my own Etsy store: DIY Haircare Products.

But the best part? Knowing that I am helping women find quality haircare and skincare products for a great price and giving them a company they can trust, who believes in fair pricing and honest customer service.

I truly, love my business. I love what I sell and I love learning. I hope to expand my business into a full "One Stop Shop" with more herbs, bases, butters and packaging. I know that if I work hard and effective, I will be able to solve many of the problems many customers face when it comes to small businesses.

So, I just wanted to let everyone know why I started my business and  the thought process behind it.

If you have a business you want to start, make sure you research it and really learn about marketing. Marketing and how to advertise are the 2 biggest things you NEED to learn.

Okay...I think have rambled long enough. I'm going to stop now.

Remember: It is never my intention to push products on anyone, so don't worry about my blog turning into an infomercial.

0 Hair Care- How to Pick a Great Moisturizing Conditioner

Being, that I don't like to waste money and I like to use quality products, I have to read ingredient lists. To get me to put a product in my buggy the company really has to have the ingredients to back up the price. So, what exactly do I look for in a conditioner?

Quality Ingredients: What are quality ingredients? Being that most of the products I buy are on the natural-organic end of the spectrum, I look for herbs and extracts. Oils and butters are great too but, I don't look for softness (this comes from emollients) from products I look for strengthening, repairing and ingredients that help preserve my hair. Some of my top ingredients are:

  • Water (must be #1 ingredient)
  • Aloe Vera
  • Horsetail
  • Comfrey
  • Hops
  • Nettle (this one is definitely a must)
  • Rosemary
Of course, there are more but, we don't want this list to last forever.

Any product that doesn't have any of these ingredients in the top 5 of their list, gets a thumbs down from me.

Price: Being that money doesn't grow on trees, I do have a price point. I never go over $10 for a product. I try to stay around $6-8 for all conditioners; rinse-out and leave-in.

Protein: I don't fear protein. When I first went natural, everything I read, spoke about being weary of protein because it had a tendency to make "our" hair dry and brittle. So, I over moisturized and did as I was told. That didn't last long... I love protein. I want my hair to be strong and healthy. Silk protein, hydrolyzed protein all of it is music to my ears.

Keeping a healthy protein moisture balance is crucial to maintaining length. I can't help but notice that almost all of the long hair gurus I see on the internet are not afraid of protein. Water, protein and a sealant seems to work well for my hair.

So, what do you look for in products? What makes you buy? Does smell matter to you? (it doesn't really matter too much to me....)

0 Hair Care: Kinky Twists, Protective Style

Kinky Twists are my "go to" protective style. My hair is very fine or thin or whatever it means to not be full and thick... So when I do 2 strands twists with my natural hair they always look very thin and just not cute. So because of this I like adding synthetic hair to my twists.

For this set of twists I used Janet Collections Marley Braid hair. I liked the hair a lot and will be using it again.

In the past, I have used the "Afro Nubian" hair for nubian twists, which are shorter more "realistic" looking twists but, I find that my hair is too long for that hair. If you are a beginner to twisting with synthetic hair and have shorter hair, try Nubian Hair.

This is a quick an easy protective style. All I do is spray my hair and scalp with my Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In and go on with my life. I will be keeping these in until they fall out.... I do not miss my curls, at all. I am so busy, I'm glad I have my hair in this style so my hair can still be taken care of.

This is how I wear my hair on a daily basis: The Bun

Also, to add more hair laziness to this already lazy style...you ready for this? I didn't even twist the middle of my head. Yes. I just put 3-4 twist/braids in the middle. Oh yes. My hair may be fine but, my head is big and by the time I got to the middle I was tired.

It's okay to judge me. I deserve it.

I am trying to see how much growth I can get while wearing twists until August. It's some kind of challenge that I will have to post about later b/c I can't find the link.

As always thanks for reading!! Do you have your hair in a protective style? What is it? Do you protective style? Like it? Miss your curls? Let me know in the comments!

0 Learn Your Natural Hair!!

When you start learning about hair care and YOUR natural hair forget everything you thought you knew about hair care.

For me (and many others) when I started taking care of my natural hair, everything I previously thought about my hair was wrong. My hair wasn't thick, wasn't prone to breakage (at least not in it's natural state), can't lay down with just water and a brush, my scalp didn't need to be greased...

Getting to know their natural hair is something many women don't do because, I see so many women stuck at shoulder length even as naturals and I have to wonder, Did they ever learn what works for their hair? Obviously, not. Many us go by what people say works for black hair. That's your first mistake right there...

Kimmaytube (check out her youtube channel) is a great example of learning your hair and doing what works for you. When you have learned what works for your hair, you will see consistent results with length and health. There are others on youtube you can check out too of course.

Even after being natural for 2 years I had to step back and relearn my naturally curly hair. I don't have black hair, I have my hair and what it needs will differ from what someone elses natural hair may need. I have had to really look at why I was doing certain techniques and examine if they were really working for me.I had been taking care of my hair for years, how I was told black hair needed to be taken care of even after going natural. This is what caused me to have a full year of set backs!

I have also learned not to take what other naturals say as "WORD!". There is no hardfast way to take care of natural hair that fits ALL curls.Yes, people can give great advice but, all it is is advice. Take it or leave it but, if what you're doing isn't broke don't fix it!

So, learn your natural hair. Learn what it likes and doesn't like. This is your hair care journey and it isn't going to be the same for everyone!

0 Coco Rocha Accepts Model of the Year Award at the ELLE Style Awards 2011

Coco Rocha in Alexander McQueen Cream Lace Dress at the Elle Style Awards 2011
Coco Rocha attened to the Elle Style Awards 2011 to receive her ‘Best Model’ Award. This comes a few months after Marie Claire named her the model of the year for 2010. The Canadian model looked beautiful wearing an Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 longsleeve dress. The cream lace dress was unfortunately paired with Alexander McQueen spring 2011 t-strap studded peep-toe sandals.

0 Karen Gillan at the ELLE Style Awards 2011

Doctor Who actress, Karen Gillan is a strong contender for one of the most stylish British actresses of the moment. Although overshadowed by some bigger names at the moment, with more appearances like her one at the ELLE Style Awards night, she’ll quickly move her way up the list.

She appeared at the ELLE Style Awards and instead of wearing a designer dress, the 23 year old actress kept it casual in a pair of navy shorts and a Peach blouse complete with beige woven belt and black patent heels. We think she looks super stylish and pulls of the casual look extremely well. We have put together a few suggestions so you can easily recreate her look.

Justin Bieber accepts International Breakthrough Act Award from Avril Lavigne
Justin Bieber wora a slick black and white ensemble,  meandered down the red carpet and kept a rather straight face while his picture was being snapped up at the Brit Awards in London (February15 , 2011). After being snubbed by the Grammys, Justin Bieber made no secret of the fact he was ‘disappointed’. But Canadian pop sensation won International Breakthrough Act against the Glee cast, Bruno Mars, The National and The Temper Trap. Justin accepted her award from Avril Lavigne. And after missing out on best new artist and best pop vocal album at the Grammys just a few days ago, there was no disguising his delight.

0 Emo Hairstyle- Professional Cut or Home Cut?

Although the emo hairstyle is agreeable to receiving a cut at home, it is difficult to see the back of our heads or hair clearly.
Therefore, a professional cut is often the way to go. However, once you have a professional cut, you can always have a friend or family member trim your hair for you to maintain its look.

0 How to Create Emo Hairstyle Spikes or Shag

Use hair styling products to mold your emo haircut to look the way that you want it to. In particular, a sculpting gel that offers a long lasting hold is going to provide the best performance. Gels that stiffen your hair allow you to spike it as well as allowing the spike to remain. Hair sprays can also be used to help maintain your styling efforts.

Follow these steps to create the spikes or shaggy look that you prefer for your hair.
•Style your hair immediately after shampooing while it is still wet. If you aren‘t planning to shampoo your hair at the time, simply wet your hair.
•Place a generous amount of gel on your hair and work it through with your fingers.
•Shape your hair into the spikes or shags that you would like to have.
•Blow dry your hair until it is completely or almost completely dry.
•Add more gel as needed to maintain your spikes.
•Avoid using a brush once you have styled your emo haircut.
•If you want to ensure that your hair stays set, use a strong–hold hairspray to spray it generously.
