0 Fietshelm verplicht?

Las ik laatst in het nieuws dat ze de fietshelm verplicht willen maken? Brrr.. Dan kunnen ze je mooie kapsel toch niet meer zien?! Maar met deze uitvinding vind ik dat geen probleem! Dit model is niet echt een fietshelm, maar ik denk wel dat ze kunnen uitvoeren voor een fietshelm. Dan zou ik het best grappig vinden wanneer ze de fietshelm verplicht stellen! ;)

0 Haarkleuring vraag

Harstikke leuk! Vandaag weer een mail met een vraag gekregen van een lezer. Hieronder de vraag en mijn antwoord er op. Misschien denken jullie er anders over. Laat maar even weten!

Vraag:

Hoi!


na een hele hoop ge'google kwam ik terecht op jouw blog :D
en ik had een vraagje over haarkleuring.. ik hoop dat je me kunt helpen..
ik heb zelf middenbruin haar.. maar er zit een rode gloed doorheen :( ik heb vanalles geprobeerd.. zelfs om er gewoon donkerbruin in te gooien in de hoop dat het dan weg zou gaan.. maar dat wilde allemaal niet lukken :S ik wil gewoon een "koele" bruine tint.. absoluut GEEN rood.. dat staat me totaal niet..
wat zou je me aanraden om te doen? een aantal mensen hebben me geadviseerd om met zilvershampoo te wassen.. maar dat is toch voor blond haar? ik ben echt radeloos :( het liefst wil ik het zelf kleuren.. maar ik weet dus niet welk nummer.. hopelijk kun jij me adviseren :D

Als ik je verhaal zo lees lijkt het me het beste dat je een asbruine kleur kunt gebruiken. Bijvoorbeeld: 5SA, 6SA of 7SA. Hoe hoger het cijfer, deste lichter de tint. De 5SA is licht asbruin. De as heft het rood op en dan moet het goed komen!

0 AIO diapers and why I don't buy them

I was on a particular site today and saw that they had released a new version of their All In One Diaper or AIO. I am so tempted to purchase a few for DD but let me tell you what stops me every. single time.

I don't trust them.

I honestly do not believe that a washer can truly get all of the pee out of an AIO diaper. I know people swear it can but, I don't believe so. So many people have stink issues where their diapers will have an ammonia smell or still smell just like pee after washing repeatedly. So you know what they have to do? Strip the diapers and usually they switch detergents to get the smell out.

Now my question is this; "How long was that pee leftover in that diaper BEFORE it started to smell?" Which means (atleast to me) that the pee never washed completely out and you weren't "cleaning" the diaper. Now, you can call me OCD about this but, I like for DD's diapers to be clean completely after each wash. I don't think the thick layers of AIO diapers allow for the water and soap to get all up and through them to clean them well.

This is why I will always be a fan of flats first, prefolds second and pockets third.

To each his own though...

0 Dry hair...

I just got back in town after being in dry Texas for a week and a half and my hair is so dry... I wore it in a ponytail the whole time I was there and didn't put a lick of conditioner in it. Sad right? I took my conditioner but the bees were so bad out there that I didn't even want to risk being stung (they were all over me when I wore lotion).

What I plan to do it is do a deep condition with honey, Castor oil, and a cheap conditioner (white rain tropical coconut), shampoo, condition and then do an oil rinse (more on that later).

I am not sure if I will detangle after the shampoo or after the deep condish...

Benefits of honey for hair: It is high in vitamins and minerals, and has wonderful benefits for the skin and hair. Honey is a good humectant and emollient, serving as a good moisturizer and conditioner.

Benefits of Castor oil: Castor oil is a humectant as it draws moisture into the hair and skin. Applying castor oil on hair will keep it looking soft, shiny and strong.

Of course do your own research to see if these products are great for you. I find that using Castor oil for my oil rinse and them putting a towel over my hair (kind of like a steam treatment) makes my hair really soft. In the morning all I do is add some coconut oil (because it is so light) and bun my hair.

Doing all of this from beginning to end (deep condition to bun) take about an 1 hr.; detangling included.

As you can see I like to Keep It Simple!
